I am the "newbie" on the block. One of my sons friends advised me about this site. And I must say I'm glad to see what a great following this car has. I have been wanting one of these rides for awhile now and I got a cool story for ya.
To start off with I have had great luck with all the Ford/Merc. products I have bought in my life, and this may be one more success story. I am a Capt. for an airline based out of Boston and my wife runs the legal dept for a town in New Hampshire. Her car is a 1997 Merc Sable wagon with 160,000 miles on it and has been a great car. She is currently in Law school in Mass and is in desperate need of a new ride. So, I went down to my local Ford dealer and got her just what she wanted. An Egg Yolk Yellow ZX3 SE with the winter package. Heated side mirrors, heated seats etc... This is the first car I have ever ordered from the factory and first car I will have with ZERO miles. I'm pretty happy that I could do this for my wife. All she has wanted is a Focus for the past few years. Now, I get done ordering the car and spy a 2003 Pitch Black SVT in the lot. It has 8000 miles on it. I asked if I could drive it and the guy throws me the keys. Well, needless to say I fell in love with it. I asked if he would take my Mint 1998 Explorer in trade. To make a long story short I ended up buying 2 Ford Focuses within 2 hours! I will be picking up my SVT in two days and my wife will have her Yellow ZX3 in a month or two.
I'm a local guy living in South Bewick Maine and hope to make a few GTG's with you all.
Welcome to the site and congrats on the purchases! There are a few others on this site with more than one focus. Myself included. Well technically it's my wife's, but I can get away with calling it mine. FX3 is another one on the site with multiples. There might be a few others that I'm forgetting. I hope you have good luck with them and I hope they bring lots of good service to you. Once again, WELCOME!

Jim Jim, that is an awesome story there. Welcome to the Two Focus Family. I have a 2000 ZX3 Focus in Autumn Orange and a 2001 RF Green ZX3. Hope to see ya at some of the G2G/ Hey Jim. speaking of G2G's, how about getting the two of them some much needed windo tint? I am having a Spring Time Window tint. Let me know what ya thinks. I am on my site http://www.next2.org and on here as well.
Hey thanks for the invite. I will take ya up on that. The SVT has rear window tint, but the wifes will need it. I think her yellow car would look awsome with window tint!

That SVT is a seductive little thing isn't it Drive it once and love it forever. You've joined the ever growing Team Focus New England crowd, but even more so, you've joined the ever growing TF ME Crowd! For most G2G's there are a few of us from Maine that make the trip to the usual locations in NH. I'm from Pownal (just outside of Freeport) and Blurry is from Freeport. We have members from Bath, Yarmouth, not to mention a few others. Needless to say, we have a growing contingency. Again, welcome to the Team, I hope you enjoy your stay, and let us know if there is ever anything we can do to make your stay more welcome.
By the way: Don't leave your SVT with the keys in it around me, I'm liable to steal it
I'm originally from Portland, but live in Manchester. I drive (drove) a 2k2 ZX3 in Egg Yolk Yellow for the past 3 years and have loved her.
Today, 1/20/05 I was in a very bad accident and I think my rocket is totalled. Nothing from the ins. agency yet....they need to come out and look at it.
She'll love it though, so will you! Welcome and post often! Oh, btw - the tint will look sexy w/ the yellow. Trust me

J Robertson wrote: Thanks. Her car should be here sometime in early March. What do you get per window? J. I am waiting to here back from WizardRacing on the prices. His brother is the one that will be tinting the windows. This is for Spring Time.
Wow, thanks very much folks. You can always count on "car folk" to give you a warm welcome.
Chelly, I'm from Portland too! I moved down to South Berwick to be a little closer to Boston (work). I used to live off of Forest Ave just behind ST. Joseph's school on the dead end road called Tremaine St. Portland is a wonderful city. Small enough to walk the streets at night, yet big enough to get in trouble if ya want to Sad to hear about your accident! I hope you are OK.
RPIJD, I'll hold onto my keys when your around!
Pigon13, nice site and forum.
Blurry, I love driving thru Freeport, thats a beautiful city!
Drifter, I got my wife excited about the "tint" LOL. She's not much of a car person, but now that I have bought her a car she has always wanted she won't shut up about it! (Thats a good sign)
Just something I want to share with you. I own a simulation race team called Gear Head Racin http://jrobertson.homestead.com/Gearhead.html My team runs in a league called Wicked Racing League (WRL). We use the Nascar 2003 software. I have a wheel and pedal setup from TSW that runs about $500.00. This is multi player simulator racing online (you accually drive the car). If your not familure, you have to setup your car just as they would in real NASCAR racing ie, shock spring compression, rebound, caster, camber, weight bias, tire PSI, wedge, spoiler angle, brake bias etc...and can make changes, pit stops, communicate with your crew chief, and draft with your teammates during the race. Just like real racing! It's a blast. I been doing it for about 6 years now and I won the championship for the first time last year. Your welcome to check out my site and my race forums for my team.
Hey Jim! I'm glad you made it to TF! As I told you on the phone, everybody here rocks, (and they throw awesome g2gs!) The SVT looks damn good, I'll have to come over and check it out.
