Ok so one side of the bra kinda exploded fron the accident. It was cold out and the magna bra didn't handle the hit.
I opened the hatch last night and the pass. inner fender well is crimped to the floor and is creased just behind the rear shock. When I closed the hatch it would not close all the way but it won't open either, well without some oomph behind it.
And dont worry the Euro tails are now safely packed away...
Just think how happy Chelly's new car will be to receive her endless and compulsive wax jobs!! (Chel, you're the only person I know who waxes outside AND inside!)
Your car may not have met the most glorious end, but during her life she was pampered and cared for like none other. This will pass, and soon you'll have a new baby. Anyway - Dan's putting all of the rest of the stock stuff in it right now and she'll be towed away tonight. I'm feeling major separation anxiety right now and I have no idea why I would when you consider that it's just a car. HA! just a car, I hate that saying.
Alec - You're right about the TLC the new car will get and what my '02 got. I babied her and cleaned her a lot. Ironically enough - Dan had offered to let me put her up for the winter while I drove the Sony - and I didn't. C'est la vie.

it would be a good investment: I'll buy everything I posted about for 400 + shipping. (id go higher but the axles may be junk now) if I end up needing the ECU, another 100. You could sell gr33nlemon the motor for 4-500. the alternator will fetch at least 50 bucks, the AC compressor should get 100 bucks. lots of people are looking for seats in good shape and misc. interior pieces. you have one fender thats good and the glass is good too. windshield alone will get you some good cash. it has power locks and windows so you could sell the whole system for 200+. clusters w/ tach fetch good money on ebay. the main harness is worth about 200, I need a new caliper, you could sell those for 25$/ea. the cat pipe is 500$ in the ford catalog, should be able to get 250 for a used one. someone might need a new hatch............

I found a motor with 29k on it at the boneyard for 400. Surely I wouldn't pay 400 or 500 for one with 47k! Nothing against Chelly's motor, but why ay mre for one with more miles that I have to take out myself?
Oh ya, the hatch is bent too BTW, so thats not worth anything to anyone IMO.

my bad, I thought you were angling for Chellys motor. and personally, Id take chellys motor over a random JY motor. no telling how it was treated during life and int he yard. at least you know Chelly's has been run with AMSoil and meticulously taken care of.
didnt notice the hatch was damaged. could be fixed though.
