I just thought I would post to see if there is an interest in these. I may purchase some SSRs and with the stock rims, I think I may sell my Euros...They are in great shape not a scratch on them. I bought them last July or August and used them until November so they have about 4-5K on them. If I sell them, around $550. Couple of people have pm'd asking for pics...here they are.

I'd be interested, just curious when you are thinking of getting the new ones...

Summer would be the earliest I could think about getting them.

Yeah..Joe..I'll still let you drive it...

I waited till the last second...I think they only had one set left..$230 ea for the rims and $105 ea for the tires...actually a little less $1340 for everything mounted balanced no sales tax..NH.

thats a real good deal it sounds like. I bet you are going to love those (plus lighter wheels means more HP and TQ ;) ) I can't wait to see them on there.

or you could save them, and use your suspension to your advantage and invest in a 3rd set of tires different from your other 2  ;)

I'm thinking I may change the tires....not comp. tires though...I called and they said I'd have to wait for the Proxy 4s...so no more Proxy 4s but the Proxy T1-S...little more $$$ but hopefully worth it...

Try looking into a set of Continental sport contact 2s, I have had a lot of sport tires and the Continental is one of the best.

I think all SVTF came with Continental ContiSportContact  in 2002.

My SVTF came with the Continental ContiSport Contacts...I hope the "2s" are better then what we got with the OE tire..because they sucked...maybe the 2s' are better..I already ordered the Toyo T1-S's with the SSR GT1s.

I've tried to find an equation for you Ara about having lighter wheels and tires and what that translates to in Wheel HP and TQ, but I've had no luck. I did find that every lb of rotational mass (a wheel) is akin to 2lbs of non-rotational (this is obviously a very rough assumption) but I'd figure if you are saving almost 10-20 lbs per corner you could feel as though the car is 80-160lbs lighter and the additional umph that should provide.
