Hmmm, I think we needa whole bunch of cones for this G2G.

Here is a list of who is getting their window's tinted.
1- Alex(Pzevinside)
2- Phil (FokuzPhil)(MAYBE)
3- Chris (sveet03)
4- Alec (Alec)
5- Heber (Mr. SVT's bro)
6- Jim (JRobertson) x2
7- Trogson friend from work
8- Sleazye2000
9- Chris G. w/ an Acura Integra 2dr getting 35% all around
10- Jim R. w/ a Pontiac Grand Prix 4dr getting 20% all around
(both Maine cars)

Ok, is Jim Robertson & Jim R the same guy? If so we have room for one more car, but I still need a list of details for all cars. Any cars after 10 cars will be on 'stand by'. If someone doesn't make it, or if there's time, Steve can do the cars.
The tint % are 50, 35,35, 20. If you decide to go 'beyond' state limits, it's your responsibility.
Can someone find the price list & paste it here & on the other thread again?

I know I'm doing 20% on the back window, but I can't decide whether to do the rest 20% or 35%. Does anyone have pictures of foci tinted at those two percentages?

I want whatever tint is darkest and legal.

I think Maine is 35% all windows, could someone check on that for me?

If so, I'd like the 35% on all windows lol.

Want to know whats legal? Check out below

http://www.tintdude.com/laws.html

Alec... Most of the cars from NH are 35% (Me, Tiff, Chelly (atleast the old one), ect)
But also remember.... 50% is the limit in Maine ;)

Nope - Maine is only 50% TLT (this means you have to meter at lease 50% light coming through all of your windows) or higher.  If you go 35% you will not pass inspection.
Also, you cannot tint the front windshield - only a 4" strip accross the top.

MAINERS - Another note - once you have the tinting done, you need to go to a tint shop and have them meter your windows and issue you a certificate stating the fact that the windows do not exceed the limits.  You will need this to be inspected and if you are pulled over and an officer asks you! A tint shop may charge you for this (avg. $20)

NH - 35% TLT on rear windows only.  You cannot tint the driver's or passenger's front windows and you can have a 6" strip on the top.

Everyone, please take into account the stock window tint that is part of the UV safety glass. - My 2002 metered 26% (+/- 3%) and I had 35% film put on her.  I was denied at one inspection station and was told they would inspect me if I peeled it off.  Needless to say I went elsewhere and was ok'd.

To keep it simple...

I'd say if you want to stay legal I'd go no darker than a 50% tint, that will put you somewhere around 40% or higher. If Steve had some 40% tint that would put you probably very close to the limit (or beyond which is bad). It's a tough call nowadays.

There isn't a wide range of tints. He only has 50%, 35%, & 20%. And remeber, factory glass has some tint to it,so it may bring that number down up to 10%. Steve metered a Focus window & got a 94% reading (put a 50% film on it & the meter will read approx 44%).

Since you are in Maine - legal is 50% I would see what they have that is within 10% of that. 60% or so film?

I've had mixed information on what the stock % reads - If I had 35% put on and metered 26% - I'd say something within 5%-10% higher number film should keep you within an inspectable range.
