That was the first one I went to too. Of couse I had a much cooler car than.
Ya know, my fiancee really likes the Elantra GT's, she's got the 99 Tib which she loves, and of course she loves the new Tib, but she's thought more than once about that Elantra.

The 2005 Tibs have a new front end and the rear lights are improved. As well as they changed the rims on the 2005. I haven't seen a new GT yet but the I4 looks better than the previous years.
As for the Elantra I would definitely recommend the 5 spd. I bought my Elantra only because we found out my fiance at the time, now wife, was pregnant. And of course now in my avatar is a picture of my little one.
Looking back on what I did I am glad I did trade in the Tib because my Elantra averages 30-40MPG where as the Tib would barely break 25MPG on a good week.
If you fiances shows up and we bring the Elantra she is more than welcomed to drive it and see if she truly wants one.
If I was her I would wait till they remodel it in 2007. It is not only getting remodel but the GT in 2007 is suppose to have a v6 and only be about $500-750 more than the current GT.
