NHFocusZX3 - Welcome to the team.

I also would say contact Buddy (WizardRacing)  His brother does a very good job and knows the Focus windows very well.  I think most of the New England members have had theirs done by him.  I did on my 2k2 (RIP).

Buddy, do we have another Tint G2G coming up anytime?

Even in Rotten-chester tint is legal. You can't tint the front door windows. Well you can, but you might get in trouble. 35% the darkest on the rest of the car.

Hmm, maybe there might be enough intrest for another Tint G2G later this year.

Ya, I had mine done at Superior Tint. Randy is the man. I've seen him tint a whole windshield with one piece of film, no cutting, no strips. That boy has talent. I got 5% Llumar tint on the back 3....yet to be stopped for it....

35% TLT for rear 3 windows on a hatch are legal in NH and you can have a 6" upper windshield strip at 35% TLT:cool:

BTW - Here is a location that keeps the list of tint laws by state - This was most recently updated on May 11th, 2005 - http://www.iwfa.com/iwfa/Law_Chart/State%20Law%20Chart.htm

In fact - Here is a downloadable, printable PDF file for you all.
http://www.iwfa.com/iwfa/Law_Chart/State%20Law%20Chart%203-18-05.pdf

One more edit here - I also have been informed that it is illegal to place decals on the Front (windshield), Side Front or Rear (windshield).  If there are decals or graphics that obstruct the view on any windows other than the rear sides - you can be failed for NH inspection and fined if pulled over.

I just found that out because I'm trying to get my car lettered.  It's not gonna happen if I have to put the stuff on my paint!  Looks like I'm going to have to have Magnets made up.

ive been stared down and followed with my 50% on the front, 35% on the rears and 20% window strip.  if you catch the 50% at the wrong angle, it looks like 20%, but at the right angle, you can see right thru it, and no problems caused

i went to the last tint G2G and got 35% on me back 3 and my front windshield has a stock blue strip at the top. no problems so far.

2 of my friends have 20% in NH on the back 3 and they've never had a problem with those. Been pulled over for having the front ones done (which they finally took off after 3 tickets each) but the cops actually specified that thier back ones were "fine" and "no problem".

1 had problems getting inspected once, but just go to a seedy gas station and u'll be fine is the experience they have. haha.

i'm too much of a wuss to risk getting 20, but they like it and it does look cooler.

One of the biggest problems here is the inspection station you were inspected at can be fined and lose their license to inspect.  Especially when ppl. go and get inspected, then run off and get the tint done after the fact.

My dad manages a shop with his business partner and he will not inspect a car with tint without a certificate (He's in Maine)

I got 20% all around at the tint g2g (which is a totally moronic teenage thing to do) but I love it and have not been stopped. However, my two friends who also got tint at that g2g have both been stopped (actually for exhaust noise in each case) but the cops noticed their tints and one was given a verbal warning, the other was given a written warning for a bunch of stuff that just included the tint. (Neither were stopped specifically for the tint)

Wow, that was a kinda long and incoherent post!

The point is, if you plan on getting dark tint, you should carry those smoke-screen bombs in your car at all times so that if you see a cop, just toss and *POOF* he'll have no idea what the hell happened and you'll be well on your way!

Alec

P.S. As you can see in my sig, my tint is so incredibly dark that it absorbs most light within a 15 foot cubical area.
