Rte. 117 here in Lancaster, MA is probably about to fllood.  THere's wetlands on eithe rside of the road, and with this amount of rain, the water is about to come over the berm that separates the road and the wetlands.

Not good......

At it's worst yesterday my sump pump was going off every 45 seconds. I still had localized puddles in my basement. I was able to travel my normal routes, but dang is the fog bad tonight, could only see 4 cars ahead of me coming home at 7pm on the southbound expressway thru boston.

the job we have going in exeter is very difficult to access.  the one here in rochester had water in the basement yesterday that we had to pump out.  the water level receded a bit since then but i havn't seen it today.  it was still right up to the side of the house.  i have another job in kitery and their basement flooded totaly.  lots of damage to some really valuable art too.  like $20,000 paintings... (i work for rich people alot)

so far our house is totaly fine

So here are some pics of Exeter taken this AM. Looks a little calmer than yesterday evening, but Im not sure thats saying much!!

Exeter River at Pickpocket Rd

Squamscott, Downtown Exeter from String Bridge to Great Bridge

Squamscott River Downtown Exeter from String Bridge

It might not look overly impressive, but when you realize 2 weeks ago the river was at about a trickle bc of the lack of rain... its quite impressive

I went down some of the trails out behind my house on monday night and all the pubbles were the same size as they normally are. No bigger than normal. I figured they would be huge but are not.

I don't know Mr. V - you see red x's a lot.  I see pics.

Dan, where the heck is our stuff - download already - we have half a card full of the Exeter River roaring and loads of other stuff.

Things are getting back to 'normal' down here, but Dan's mother's neighbor, which many of you have seen the house, directly accross the street.  Well, that basedment always has water and the back yard is a lake - This guy has a great sense of humor though...He's put his canoe next to the huge puddle in his back yard and he has a for sale sign out front advertising "LAKE FRONT PROPERTY & INDOOR SWIMMING POOL" For more information call: 1.800.jus.kidn

I thought that was great - you have to have a sense of humor when so much destruction is happening all around.

Mom's neighbor has been pumping his back yard steadily sense the initial rain stopped and it keeps filling up every time it rains out. He's not had usable water sense before the flooding. The back yard water keeps filling over his well and contaminating it.

The back yard is once again flooded as of this morning.

His indoor pool was 6 inches deep. Water seeped in through the floor and not the basement enterance door.

I might have figured it out. I log on at work, usually early AM. We're on a LAN with all kinds of watch dogs, etc. I think that's why. When I go home, I'll try to see if there are pics. Frankly, I'm surp[rised that I can get this site at all. I can't get MFF or any other message bds at work.
