Waiting for my Pro Kit to arrive. Anyone from R.I. know a reputable shop to install this kit? I live in the East Bay area and looking for someone close by. I'll do the rear sway bar and stuff my self but not sure about front bar and struts.

Why not do it yourself? Rent some spring compressors.
Then you could pay for an alignment if you need one.

Or you could have someone install it. But that takes the fun out of it.

I have no problem trying it myself but I have nobody to give me a hand. I've just read too much about problems other people have had doing it themselves. They all say the front bar is a pain to do. If I thought I could get it done in one day by myself I'd get right on it.

Maybe just spend one day, do the sway bars. Then if you have time start by doing one pair of struts/springs, and then do the next set of struts/springs when you have time.

What kind of Focus do you have? Year/model?

Well I'd be happy to give a hand if I get free one of these weekends. Next weekend I am away for my Birthday up to Wells Beach, Maine.

I love a nice drive.

Maybe we can get a bunch of guys together and do an install day. I have a bunch of things I want to install on my car too.

I'll see whats up when I get the kit. I ordered from NTHCoast last Mon. and it'll be sent when they get the bars in. Also got the intermittent wiper and ordered a Steed spoiler today. I've done small stuff so far, painted wheels black, tinted back and side windows. mesh grill, fog mod, gonna paint around radio soon, got new e-brake handle and billet fuel door done also.

Yeh I have to put in my HIDs and grille. Two more motor mounts. A couple pulleys, short throw shifter and short ram intake.

Are you inviting any of us Maine SVTF to the party in Wells?

Well back from my Maine weekend. It was very nice.

I have purchased some suspension stuff too!

KYB AGX struts/shocks and Intrax springs.
I also picked up a Sean Hyland 23mm rear sway bar and urethane bushings for the front control arms.

Time for an install day!

-Brian

Too bad I had to wait for suspension, I could have had it done by now and it suppose to rain this Sat. Let me know how you make out with the other stuff your doing.

Sorry to hear you got strung along with thelocal shops. I to had the same happen to me. Up in Burlington VT I went to a local speed shop and I went on there knowledge and recomendation for my first mod (CAI). They ordered me a Weapon-R intake and said it was designed for the focus. About a week and a half late rI went back to the shop and they finaly ordered it. I had already paid for it so the money was out there. A week late rI had it and it didn't fit correct and rubbed on the hood a bit. First and last thing I bought from them. Moved back to NH and ordered a full Energy Suspension Urithane kit from the ford 5.0 Pro shop in Nashua and this time it took over a month to get the parts in. I got a line about how the ES factory having a bad fire or somthing. After going back a couple times thay finaly ordered the kit thorough Steeda and I got it but had to put more money down on it. I ended up paying about $50-$80 more than I should have for the kit.

Point of my story is I now order online through New Edge, Bat Inc, My Ford Performance or the other "Focus" shops on the internet. I get the correct fitting parts and pay less than local shops charge, even after I pay shipping.

and i forgot to say ;wel

Well got my stuff today. Did the air intake and intermittent wiper in about an hour. No problems except having to put intake at an angle so it wouldn't hit the hood. I think I'll just buy my own spring compressor and give it a try. Got the stuff in less than 48 hrs. from New Edge Performance. Anyone know if there is a top and bottom to springs or does it matter?

On the Eibachs there is some lettering, just make sure that they are right-side up.  Enjoy doing this install, it actually is fairly simple.  I have done a half dozen myself.

Yes, Tony D from Newedge is awsome! Almost everything on my car is from New Edge.

The install is fairly simple. The front sway is however a bitch. I would pay someone to do it. LOL  Other then that it should only take a few hours to complete. Just make sure and get the alignment set after install unless you like to buy tires.

Got most of the work done by myself in about 5 hrs. It was very easy once I loosened the nuts up. Install was nothing, didn't have to compress new springs to strut. Can't finish the right rear. The nut moved about a quarter inch now it just spins in the bushing. Tried everything. Smashed it with mallet, PB Blaster, swearing at it Nothing worked, any ideas? It's the nut and bolt on lower control arm. Left side was easy.

Done!!!!!!!!! I managed to get the rear spring compressed enough to yank it out. Rides a little bouncy but I knew that would be that way. Now on to my Steeda wing that was sent today, hope to have it done in a few days.
