no shame there as far as I'm concerned, I'm looking into buying one, it's an absolute blast to drive, and it doesn't feel like it was built out of recycled match box cars.

lol.......but yeah agreed..... I drove one the other day and it does have nice solid feel to it suprizingly. Most of the civics that i have driven havnt felt to stable at all!!
But I'm still not trading my ST any time soon for one..... I do have to say that the new SI has gotten my attention, wich is a first for a Honda.
The whole reason I got started with Focii is because they're NOT Hondas.
That's like working at Pepsi and drinking Coke. Like working at Lowe's and shopping at Home Depot. It's like living in Wisconsin and being a Bears fan.
bah, if Ford wasn't hell bent on making the Focus a boring stupid gutless grocery getter, then I'd consider, but they drop the SVT, then they drop the 2.3, I'm waiting for the wunder 1.8L with 36mpg, just so they can stuff another stupid truck engine into an oversized SUV that some dumb soccer mom is going to use to commute her bitch ass kids around in.
Hey by the way sveet03 nice ride.....I noticed that your from londonderry... I'm a vendor for the flooring dept at the Home Depot in londonderry there. You may have seen my foci sittin at the garden end of the store.
ive been there a few times, but everytime i go to the one in londonderry for tools, etc, they never have what i need, manch always does tho. plus, i have a buddy that works for lowes, so if i need a discount, i get taken care of

yeah I hear that........my wife's sister is a department head at the lowes down the street from us. Comes in handy from time to time

And I resent that comment on the SUV thing, I just Picked up a new Jeep Patriot that I get better fuel economy in than my Focus and its a 4X4!!
Plus I have a 458watt factory system with Navigation, a moonroof, heated leather seats, 115volt outlet, a Tent(yes a tent that attatches to the Jeep) as well as other features my poor Focus doesn't have.

Patriot's don't count as SUV's to me, Explorers, Expeditions, Suburbans, when you get a thing like that for like 10+ passengers and you have 1 or 2 kids and a dog, you should be kicked squarely in the ovaries.
SUV's are completely useless. They don't do anything well. They don't get good gas mileage, they don't fit THAT many people, they have limited off-road abilities, they aren't fast, they don't handle well.
If you need to haul stuff, get a van or a pickup. If you need to haul a group of people, get a minivan. If you need offroad capabilities, get a Jeep. The SUV is the "Jack of all trades, master of none."
What really irks me is that 99% of people who own SUV's are women with 0-2 kids, who never need to haul anything, tow anything, or go offroad.
Like the fake radio ad said in Grand Theft Auto 3:
"I am a single man who lives in the suburbs and drives to work by myself, so of course I need a vehicle that can seat 8 and go anywhere off road."

So you won't like me for the fact that I owned a Ford Excursion Conversion SUV with a V10, a GMC Yukon Denali, 2 different International Scout II's, etc.. as part of my 88 vehicle collection and I do Have 2 Kids and a dog
and SUV Does Stand for Sport Utility Vehicle, which means vehicle of many uses. whether or not you use them is totally up to you. Just like the people who buy vettes and vipers and other high perf vehicles and drive them nice or don't drive them at all. It bugs me but it is their choice. I am also old enough to remember when gas was less than $1.00 but I better not get started, after 88 vehicles and the miles to go with them, I have seen way too much
LOL

When I started driving I clearly remember gas costing $.249 / gal. Once in a while a few competing gas stations would have a "gas war". Then the price would go to $.199/gal for a few days to as long as a week.
When you filled up, they'd also pump the gas for you, wash your windows, check your oil and even check your tires if you asked them to. It was likely that you'd also get a free drinking glass with the logo of your local sports team, e.g. Tigers, Patriots, etc.
Now THOSEwere the good ol' days.
