Well I have come up with a way to get rid of the annoying orange light that is on when your lights are on. I use to just unplug the upper grill lights but you will get an annoying fast blinker and no side bumper lights. Well, I have come to a solution to get ride of the upper light and keep the everything else working. Another plus is that your turn signal will still blink in the upper grill :)

Time:
5 minutes

Tools:
Wire cutter

Instructions:

1. Locate the upper grill light plug. Pull it off the light socket.

2. Peel back the black plastic piece and locate 3 wires

3. Cut the MIDDLE wire with wire cutters. I cut mine a litte ways off the end just incase for any reason I need to re wire it back up. Less hassle.

4. Plug back in. Done.

Your grill lights will no longer be on with the headlights, and will only work when you have the turn signal on. Goes great with tinting. See pic-
With lights on-

Any questions, feel free to ask :D

That does look pretty sharp, but what about any safety or legal issues?

Yes of course its illegal, but here anything you do aftermarket in VA its consider illegal. So why not go out while looking good?

They still will work when you click your turn signal on.. so thats a plus. And you still have your bumper lights. :D

I love that. One of the first things I did. But I didn't cut the wire. I cut off the connecting pins from the bulb. This way all I have to do is buy new bulbs if I want to change it back. Easier then trying to reconnect that wire.

That is a sweet mod to do.  I like the idea about breaking the pins off the bulb so if you want to change it back all you have to do is buy new bulbs.  When you look at the bulb is it pretty obivious which pins should be removed?

there are 2 filaments inside each bulb. One lights up when you use a turn signal, the other when you turn on your driving lights. What I did was I took the bulb and socket out of it's housing in the grill...turned on my blinker, looked to see which filament light up. Then pulled the bulb out of the socket and cut the pins that connect to that filament. Took like 2 minutes to figure out.

And yea Joe this will just make it so they only work as turn signals and not driving lights.

It wasn't worthless man, it was just one way to do this mod.  Your way is easier and faster but harder to reverse if you want to change it back.  Look on the bright side, it started this discussion which alot of people seen to have intrest in and in the end that's what is important.

not at all. Your way works perfectly and you took the extra step to provide pictures. Totally appreciated. Just goes to show there are many different ways to go about doing something.

Looks hott, if I still had my old grill and reg headlights, I would definatly do this. Great for those who cant afford to buy new headlights or dont want to delete the turns from the grill. Nice job!
