Ok i just bought 2 15 inch Neon tubes to put inside my car. I also bought a toggle swtich so i don't have to use my cigarette lighter to run both of em. The only problem i am having is how i am going to run power to the neons but make the toggle switch shut the power off....Should i use the swtich and tap into the 2 + wires on the neons and then run there + wires straight to the battery or where should i make them get there power from. I guess i am asking how to make it so my neons work on a swtich instead of on my ignition so i can turn it off during the day without unhooking it????? Help would be appreciated.

you use the switch....  cut the positive wire and wire teh switch in series with the power going to the neon lights.  so teh switch will "interupt" the current flow to the ligths.

A good solution, esecially if you plan on selling the car later, would be to get a cheap kit called "Add a Circuit" or something like that at any auto parts store. It's simply a "plug" that goes into an unused fuse hole. (It also allows you to fuse the neons) From there, you connect the positive neon wires, (with a switch somewhere on it) to the wire protruding from the fuse, and then just connect the negative wire of the neon to bare metal somewhere on the car. They really aren't that difficult to install...usually, the hardest part is running wires. HTH

I had Blue neons on the bottom of my (get this) '99 Escort wagon.

It was awesome, but I took them off when I traded it in for my '05 ZX4.

Going on my Focus, I can tell you that!

i hooked my neons  up to the hot wire on the cig lighter. Just take out the bezel around your stereo, and you can reach the wires. I got these clamps from the part store that let you " tap " into a how wire with crimpers. From there just run to the switch and ground it.  I can show you some pics if you need. Just PM me and let me know
