ok here's my addition

for PZEV duratec only.  this extra step:

you have to remove the cover for the airbox in order to get at the driver's side marker.  there are four bolts holding it on.  i recomend you start with the two in the wheel well.

next the bolt just behind the front bumper were the intake is on the lower front grille.  i needed a pretty long ratchet extender (5" or so) to get at this one.

now the cover is free, wigle it around a bit to get it off.

unless your hands are alot bigger than mine you should be just barely able to get a wrench past the exposed airbox and get at the side marker.

when you're done with the side marker, reverse the process to get it back on.

Good job Roch! I got so frustrated messing with my airbox I gave up and sold my clears... only to install an intake maybe 2 months later... oops. So I still have orange markers, maybe sometime I'll bother trying again!

Of course I didn't know what I was doing at the time, and thought I had to pull the lower intake tube out of the bumper to get off the airbox (dunno why). I had undone all but the 3rd bolt you have listed. I felt so retarded when I got the mess off for the intake, that I couldn't figure it out just weeks before!

All the while everyone was like, "No clears are the easiest mod EVER!" I was like no they really aren't, not on my car!!!! I was prying at the box, snaking my hand up behind it blindly trying to remove the corner that way, god I was so beat up and my back KILLED laying under my car twisted at weird angles for so long!

it's true, that lower intake tube does acctually come out, because it's part o the cover.  i also got to the point were everything but bolt 3 was off.  i was pulling on it from every angle not knowing why it wasn't comming out.  (at night, with a flashlight) then i happend to look up at it...  stupid bolt.

anyway i put that as number three bolt cause if i had it to do over i think it'll work better that way

BTW, i need to get me one of those CAI...  i was just reading your posts in the other section about the sound of it and stuff.

j wants some...

i just installed some euro black ones. yea the left side would be a "B" if i would of took out the air intake. instead i removed some fender bolts then pulled back the bumper just enough for my arm to work on a screw at a time. not the greatest idea on a brand new 3 week old paint job, but never the less i got the job done with no hazardous work. i now have a white focus and since i put the new bumper blinker lights on the yellow blinkers from the grill have to go!

yea, i got a upper grille pice on ebay that has clear lights in it.  i wish they were smoked like my side markers but it's the next best thing. (and the only one i could find)  they acctually look pretty dark cause of the black plastic of the grille.
