It definitly was. The how-to says an hour. It took me over 2 hours to complete. The tabs don't line up at all. I had to trim metal on hinge side to make it sit flush. I couldn't use original screws though that would have looked better. I used longer nuts and bolts with philips head. I got the rubber boot back on and that took alot of work. The one I installed was from a Mustang, don't know if the one shown is excactly the same.

audiojunkie it was terry that installed the gas door. the whole thing was just too big. the size on my gas opening is around 6" to 6.25. taps would of fit if the door was smaller. future installers definitely dont buy the 7.25
