Use a flexible, wide blade, plastic putty knife as a "mask", when applying wax near textured plastic trim. Just lightly slide the knife along with the wax applicator when waxing along the skirts or the door mouldings.  When removing/polishing, select a clean rag & wipe in a straight line along the moulding. That will insure the moulding stays wax free. It's fast & easy. No more trying to erase wax residue from the black mouldings.  :driv

This is an excellent tip Mr. V!

Thank you

I may be trying out some new products come Spring - Amsoil has it's own line of car care cleaning products.

interior cleaning...

grungy arm rests, steering wheels, shiftknobs, doorpanels, etc. are easily cleaned using    dow scrubbing bubbles bathroom cleaner.

spray on and let it do its thing. works better than regular spray cleaners because it actually loosens and lifts the dirt for easier cleaning.

found that other cleaners just cause you to smear the dirt around several times before actually getting it off. and we all know what it means when you smear this gunk around, it's getting rubbed in.

to finish it off, get the armorall or your favorite and get happy:drink

on a side note.  haven't tried it on lleather so use it here at your own risk!!!

Interesting use of a fairly aggressive cleaner.

I personally use hot soapy water and a cotton cloth to clean my interior.

Also, I'm VERY partial to "Product 303" protectant.  It is a non-petroleum based, low shine/glare spray that has a UV protectant in it.  It is used in Marine applications and is a wonderful dust repellent as well.

Thanks all for the ideas, reviews and tips!  keep them coming.  I really like the ideas people offer up, especially when they are as unique as using bathroom cleaner!
