I've seen a few threads where the posts start with the newest and move back to the oldest/original post. Is this a new trend or is this something that I can change in a preference or something?

That explains it. It was just weird because most of them were in the regular order, then I started reading another thread, and it just didn't seem to make any sense. People were responding to things that weren't said... until I realized that the time was backwards. I nearly slipped into another dimension!
