i really want to put a team focus decal on my car, but i don't really like the font of the current decal. i noticed that the new merchandise has the new logo and a differenet font - are we going to get new decals with that font?
or - something i was wondering and debating doing too - would you object to someone getting custom decals made in whatever font they want? just curious cuz i know that on FJ, they don't let you do it cuz "focaljet" is trademarked...
Hi Rob, Nope no plans to do a new decal. Feel free to make you own custom decals. As long as it says TF on it and isn't lewd I have no problems with it. Pimp away!
oh that's too bad I wanted one with the new logo. Might have to make it myself then. And change the coloring to all white or something to match better with my others.

Just a thought but why don't we come up with a new decal. I realize you can make your own but if we have a custome one that can be agreed on than there would be 2 to choose from. Get the normal ones from Rick and the alternate one from Mr/Ms X. Thank depending on how things go Ricks next batch could be the more popular design.

I went through this with Diane. I had seen the "Focus font" on the net and downloaded it. Soon after, I had reformatted my hard drive, and didnt back up the Fonts folder before doing so. I lost the font and could never find it again. I will search for it, but I think what may have happened is the site I got it from awhile ago shut down or something. Oh well, maybe find it again someday.
i was thinking about the "focus font issue" today and realized that it's kind of a moot point - the '00 - '04 model year focuses have a certain font while the "new" '05+ models have a different font... so IMHO there's really no point in putting the decal in a "focus font" since there are now two of them out there.
That's a good point Rob, I never thought about that. I am possibly having a few made, I;ve been working with someone online about this... just for my own interest. But, Rob made a good point about Team New England being underneath the address. Does everyone like that idea? I could have one made up.

I think, if you look at the culture behind the focus phenomenon, there is a "focus" type font that seems to be the norm. the typical "f" that drops just a little below the other letters etc. I'm sure you all know what I'm talking about even though there have been slight variations on it.
I'm all for the Team New England! I did a custom windshield decal on a website - was going to be close to $50! ugh...I can think of other things I can spend $50 on!
