Sounds to me like they are covering most of the things we are looking for.
Forum Quick Jump sounds like the drop down list...variable names based on posts...I think that is gonna cover just about everything and then some. You chose a good board Rokester.
one more thing, and I'm bringing this up only because it's getting to me more and more, it doesn't seem like the topics being yellow is a very good measure of being new or read, I come back in here from the weekend, and everything is yellow like I've never been to the forum before (this is the same computer I normally work from so, I don't think its a cookie thing, I tried using the recent posts button there, and it sort of works (though how something 3 days old is more recent than 10 seconds I don't know). My problem with that is that it brings up EVERYTHING, and some people don't like to have to search through everything, for example if you don't own a PZEV engine, you don't much care about the PZEV Performance Forum sometimes...etc. I don't know if the forum developers are working on anything to fix this problem, but it would be nice if they could. I'd almost like an Active topics since last visit button that was categorized like our old one was. I'm not complaining I love the new site, but it does have a few things about it that just don't accomplish what I think they are set out to.
I know that he has some changes planned for the admin panel early next month. He believes in releasing smaller changes more rapidly than one big change. Much easier to fix the bugs that way.
