This makes me fucking sick to my stomache! I saw a clip of this on the news at lunchtime at a pizza place today, but I couldn't hear the TV, I only saw pictures of the man while he was still alive. We need to take all of our troops out of there and turn that place into a glass covered oil pit! I live in fear every day that I will get a call that my friend of 18 years, Adam, is gone. He's gotten 2 extentions so far, and who knows how many more he will recieve. He can't  make my wedding, which makes me realy upset about this whole ordeal. Sorry to rant on your post Chelly, but you know my deal.;)

I've read the whole story on Paul Johnson, and I was sickened to learn another American had been kidnapped. It was his job to be there. He worked for Lockheed Martin and another company, and he was one of 4 specialists workin on new technology for Apache helicopters. Apache's are often used to dessimate villages in Palestine, Iraq, and Afghanistan. This was the terrorists justification for killing this man. Although it is sickening and stomach churning, and in no way acceptable, you have to remember that this guy chose to live in Saudi Arabia. He made a conscious decision to live there. He moved there in the 80's. Now yes, he SHOULD be able to live ANYWHERE on Earth, and have to worry about having his head cut off, but that is NOT reality. He told his family he was scared and worried about being there, yet he did not return to the States. Again, life is about choices. He made the wrong choice.

Now, I used to have a great deal of patience concerning this whole Muslim/Arab war thing. But now I would easily favor going nuclear. Think about it, the Japanese suicide bombed us at Pearl Harbor, they used methods comparable to modern day radical Islam. What did Truman do then? HE LET EM RIP. NOW, the Japanese just about WORSHIP us. You F around, you get F'd up worse. This policy, unfortunately, seems to be the only way to get through peoples heads. The radical Islamic barbaric beasts must be dealt with in the harshest possible manner.

Either that, or we can continue to play footsy. Its like, we're not getting through to these countries and their Governing bodies. Its almost as if we're poking them, and their just poking back. We're pussyfooting it. We are playing some pinching game. Ridiculous.

If I had power, I would call on all these Arab Governments to POLICE THEMSELVES. Rid of these barbarians, and if you do not comply, we go Thermo-Nuclear style. DO WHAT YOUR TOLD, OR SUFFER THE CONSEQUENCES AND REPURCUSSIONS. It's like dealing with a bunch of misfit kids. You gotta lay the hammer down sooner rather than later.

I think a few 100 mega-ton Hydrogen bombs might get the point across. That would make the nukes dropped on Japan look like M-80's.

It's time to lay down the law. We've talked enough. No more liberal bullcrap. It's time.

My thoughts go out to Paul Johnson's family and friends. I cannot imagine the HORROR they are living right now.

BTW, they caught and killed the guy who was running the al-Qaida cell in Saudi Arabia and took responsability for the killing of Paul Johnson. They killed him, and 2 of his beastly buddies, and injured and arrested a 4th.

Also, a guy from Laconia, NH was shot and killed by these beasts, while he was standing in his garage. And another guy was killed the same way, in his garage. I saw the video tape. I watched as a few uncivilized barbarians chased this man down, and I heard him beg for his life. They shot him down, and pumped about 10 bullets into him as he lay there. They then beheaded the lifeless body.

So what should we do? How would you deal with such beasts?

I say napalm and hydrogen.

Yes, it is about making the correct choice.

Really? Not in my experience. You must have visited a different Japan.

And where exactly do you intend to place these devices? Ankara? London? Singapore? Paris? A couple should take of the mullah in Norway. Perhaps Las Vegas? There are some very sympathetic people in Edmonton too.

I don't have THE answer. Just some of the observations noted above. You are dealing with a 10th century tribal culture in the 21st century.

I think we should all move to Canada with Codger, they never seem to get into any trouble! J/K Coodger. I think we should nuke the whole country. They too 5000+ INNOCENT american's lives on 9/11. The only way that I see possible to get rid of ALL of the terrorists living in Iraq is to make the place a giant glass covered oil pit. Just my couple a pennies though, nobody has to agree with me.

I'll make a prediction here. We are already seeing the new face of war. On the one hand, the U.S. is so powerful that nobody can outwardly oppose us. On the other hand, neither we, nor Goliath, are immune to attacks by individuals or small, determined, mobile groups.

My prediction is that this is the way most "wars" are going to look for quite awhile. The war on terrorism is going to go much like the war on drugs is going. You might be able to stop some of the stuff, but nobody can stop all of it. Particularly when people are willing and eager to die for their cause, no matter how twisted it might seem to us.

There's nothing new about this kind of war. The common perception is that it doesn't work..... until you bring up Cuba, VietNam and Algeria to name a few.

The only difference is that now the participants are stateless.

I agree with everything said so far.

Except that they are "stateless". Some, well yeah, some may be. But most ARE supported, in secret, by different Governments. Whether it be through the funneling of money, to allowing residence, it's all SUPPORT in the end.

Obviously we are not getting the point across. Jesus H, I thought we were doing too much lol. But now I can humbly admit, I was WRONG.

Napalm death.

There is unrest in the forest, There is trouble with the trees, For the maples want more sunlight And the oaks ignore their pleas. The trouble with the maples, (And they're quite convinced they're right) They say the oaks are just too lofty And they grab up all the light. But the oaks can't help their feelings If they like the way they're made. And they wonder why the maples Can't be happy in their shade. There is trouble in the forest, And the creatures all have fled, As the maples scream `Oppression` And the oaks, just shake their heads So the maples formed a union And demanded equal rights. "The oaks are just too greedy; We will make them give us light." Now there's no more oak oppression, For they passed a noble law, And the trees are all kept equal By hatchet, axe, and saw.

That's good, Jonny. I've heard that before, but I can't remember where or when.

Jonny's post is so true when you think about it. It's really the same situation, and its all BS. I can't stand watching TV half the time anymore, it makes me sick to read and watch of all these porr people that are dying, it's just not right :(

No one need apologize if they rant in here.  I understand the anger and frustration.

My biggest thing now is the ignorance of so many completely oblivious to the situations outside of their little worlds.  I hear ppl. bitch and moan about such trivial situations and I am guilty of it.  Why, because we have built a great nation - how did we build it?  On the dead bodies of millions who faught to be free.

I'm happy to be an American with great neighbors to our north.  I've been to Canada, many times, and will go again.

I dont' know the answers to all this death and violence - I know I don't want to lose anymore of our soldiers in any country fighting for what they believe in (Freedom).  We've lost sight here too...in this country, of what it is to be free.
Political Correctness is infecting our governments, judicial systems and law books.  It's getting to the point where you can't call an apple and apple anymore.

I don't know...I just don't know.
