I read one article recently that puts it within the realm of the possible given the GOP's current situation. Somehow I doubt that Bush would veto the move although I'm obviously not as familiar with exactly how your political system works as i'd like to be.

why would i not be suprised if he tried to become the next roosevelt.. he did like 4 terms didn't he during ww2 or something like that? horrible with history and prolly wicked wrong... but meh..
Yeah it was after FDR got his third or fourth term, that he barely lasted into... that the term limit was put down I think.
I honestly worry that if a President would somehow (try to) weasel a way out of the 2-term policy, it would be this one... shows how much trust in the inherent honesty and goodness or him and his cronies huh?
In the end though I don't think it would end up passing, even though the Dems are in the minority, I'm sure some Republicans would break with party lines for something that ridiculous, and the public would go absolutely insane, of that I'm fairly certain.
Worse comes to worst, New England and other rational states should just secede for chrissakes J/K...... ?
