I've heard a couple of other stories like this. Like the article says, it might just be the season. IMO, the guy was lucky he didn't get hurt worse than he did. He sounds pretty brave to me.

I heard about this! If I looked in and saw a deer, and it leaped into a bedroom I woulda just shut the door on it and called the police to come shoot it/lasso it and bring it outside or whatever they'd do in such a case.
Definitely wouldn't have tried to choke it?! A big old male buck/deer thing? One shot to the spleen and you're a goner, no thanks! Also, i'm assuming he broke its neck with like a full nelson or something, not just physically wrapped his finger around it... unless this man's Paul Bunyan or Shaq or someone!
