WAIT!! for the love of all that is holy dont go see this. Actually never see it. It sucks and i wanted to walk out. Seriously, i thought the whole movie, camera shots and angles, and everything about it just plained sucked.
I haven't seen it, but the previews make it look like the tour boat operators forgot these unfortunate people. If this is based on a true story that happened in Australia on the Great Barrier Reef, it's so off base as to be ridiculous.
This was a married couple vacationing in Australia. They had been having great difficulties with their relationship, and were very likely on the path to divorce. The husband was suffering from depression & had been in treatment for many months. He had recently been hospitalized because of depression, and was on suicide watch.
The consesus is that it was either a murder suicide or mutual suicide. Authorities believe they deliberately missed the boat. As far as I know, their bodies were never found.
