I've never had a problem with their used stuff except the occasional minor scratch, or the damn instruction manual is screwed up. For the $5 I'd save on it, it isn't worth it for me. So I'll just get it new, and have peice of mind, and my game
I transfered over the A & B liscence but not the money. I picked me up an 85 RX-7 and its doing allright.
Whats your inpressions on the game so far. I like it and it seems to be more realistic with the car swaying and nose diving with breaks. The over and under steer seem to be more realistic and I like how the crashes make you see blurry like you really would if you hit tires head on(I didn't do that of course). Oh and I let the "let the computer race and win money for you" function.
Loads of cars and old skool cars. There are 3 used car dealers with differant options and they are updated every so many days of game play. There is a notebook in the game that keeps track of all your races, the day you raced and the position you came in. This starts at a predetermined date and a day is one race or one liscence test or just so much time because I have a couple days that are blank. It also tells you the day you bought differant cars. The main menu is graphical and all right there in front of you by country(car maker), reagon (America, Japan, etc), races are there(beginner, advanced, pro, city corses, snow&dirt courses, etc). This game is huge and seems to have twice as many races and tracks than GT3. The cars handle more realisticly and the nose dives hard when laying on the breaks. The cars look more realistic (the Honda CRX actually has the CRX strip on the back and legeble when you get really close to it). When changinh the oil you see a guy get inder the car and the the GT3 oul change meter happens, in car wash you car spins as in GT3 but than the last half of the wash is 2 guys hand drying the car. There is a photo mode where you can take your car, place it on any corse and than get the shot you want(you have complete control of the camera angles, car angles and front tire turned angles), than you can print it to an Epson printer that is compatable with the game. There is also another photo area where you can take action shots of your car going around a (i think you can pick any track) track. There is also a dirrector mode where you tell your professional driver how to drive (slow, cruise, fast, push it) and whether or not to overtake the car in front. I find this usefull to gain money without actually racing or if there is a track I can only get to like 3rd (because of my driving) because the conmuter will drive a lot better and usually gain at least one position if not come in first. The dirrector mode also counts as if you were driving. You don't get GT points but you get the track win and the money. There are also more test tracks and a parking lot with cones.
can you turbo any car?? one thing that pissed me off was that there was not enough customization. all cars should be able to be turbo'd or supercharged. oh yeeah any new manufacturers since gt3
I beleve you can FI any car. There are like 10-12 tuner companies plus the manufacturer tuners. In the after market tuners like HKS there is the 3 stages of turbo and a "original" turbo which is not available throught the manufacturer shop. Any way the original turbo for my RX7 gives 5 more hp than stage 3 and is like 4 grand less. The same goes for the suspension where the "original" is cheaper and better than the full race stuff. I could not NA tune my car, obviously due to the rotery, and I could not put on a SC but all those options were there. I think they go as far as you can only do what you can do in real life, like the muscle cars get the SC and the 4 bangers get turbo.
Manufacturers. Yes there are. AC Motors (for British) has right hand drive 68 AC Cobra. The left hand drive AC Cobra is available through Shelby along with the 01(or 02) Shelby series 1. There is pontiac, Cadilac, Scion, Buick, Plymouth, DMC(yes the Delorean), Eagle, Bently and i'm sure theres other I can't think of right now.
yup, tons of cars, I'm currently saving pennies to buy me an RS I love the director mode for gaining cash in a hurry. My Lancer Evo (used) can whomp the sunday cup all day, and net me some good cash. So far I'm digging the game. I imported my A and B liscences and I completed my IB and IA liscences last night, some of those pace car ones are hard. Either way it's fun. It's also HD capable, now I guess I need an HDTV As always the game is slow to start off, and I'm kinda peeved that you can't run enduro's until you've completed at least 25% of the game.
I can't remember what I got for IA, and S, cause I wasn't really paying all that much attention, for IB I got the Nike One 2022 or something like that, you can't race it in anything because it's "special" and selling it doesn't get you any money which sucks, it looks like a go cart kinda thing, sounds like it has an electrical engine, and has 8 gears.
As for the Z4 slalom, the slalom with the ASM isn't that bad, just keep a good rhythm through the cones, and minimize your steering, you want to keep yourself as straight as possible, if you start swinging wide you'll never make it, you want to just nudge past each cone. The slalom with the Z4 without ASM was a bit trickier, but similar, give just a blip of controlled gas as you go buy a cone, and then let off as you head towards the next one, if you give too much gas as you get to the cone, your rear end will come out on you and then you are toast. Oh and make sure not to hit the cones at the finish line, those rat fink bastards had to add that nifty little wrinkle in there, assholes.
Ok, so I looked, IA was the NISMO 240 and I don't know what the other one was now... dammit... I sold it. That's all I know. Now I'm making money in a hurry though. It's all just a matter of time
Buy a used '95 EVO III GSR, mod the beeheebus out of it. Then enter the Japan Championship (A liscence) then run it in B-spec mode. 7,500 for 5 wins + 35,000 for the Championship and a Spiffy 350Z Concept LM race car, that can be sold for $300K+ , I know own a fully modified RS and a beginning modified '05 GT in Yellow with black striping.
um yea guys, i don't know if you guys know this already or not, but i just found this out... you can transfer your licenses, and up to 100,000 dollars from your GT3 saved on your memory cards, to GT4...so you have all of the licenses already, AND you have money to buy a nice car, and do alot of good mods to it aswell...i think it's awesome...
