I thought he was a cool character in the other movie. I can't remember the name of it. But the eyes and his whole style was cool so I know I'm going to go see this. Good to hear it doesn't suck

Yep takes place 5 years after pitch black.
His character is developed more in this movie (you get to know the characters background) and there is little mentioned of Pitch Black.
I thought is was a good sequel.
For those interested you did not have to see the first movie to understand the second, except for understanding his eye sight. You can catch on quick to what is qoing on.
