WOW! This got great reviews, even though it had just come to the big screens last week. It's about organized crime in Boston. The cops have a mole in the crime org., and the bad guys have a mole in the police force. They kinda cancel each other out for awhile, but then the situation arises where they have to find out who their counterpart is and eliminate him.
An interesting plot. Great acting. Terrific cast. Significant violence. Moves along quickly for such a long movie. Jack Nicholson is absolutely beyond comparison as an actor...an amazing performance!
Despite all that, for me, something seemed lacking. I really can't say what, but the Gestalt part just didn't quite hit me. It's a very good movie, worth paying full price to see. The total pkg just didn't strike me as one of my top fave films ever. Maybe even not one of this years fave fliks. But that's just me. Go see it & tell me what you think. You won't be sorry.
