Whooo Hooo! What a gooood movie. It's a genuinely scary movie that's not one of those stupid slasher flicks. It's about a writer -John Cusak- who travels around the country staying in so-called haunted rooms and writing about his experiences.
He finally gets an invitation to stay in room 1408 in a hotel in NYC. The hotel staff and manager try everything they know to keep him from staying in that room, but he finally prevails & moves in for the night. The rest of what happens is remarkable & unforgettable.
John Cusac is almost the only actor in the movie. Others make small cameo appearances. I give this one 9 out of ten stars.
