I heard this movie sucked tha baggy. But I've heard a lot of movies sucked, only to see them and like them. SO I dont really listen to people anymore lol.
I think Jada looks hot sometimes. Like in the Matrix, and in that movie where her and her girlfriends rob banks and chit. 'Membah that one? She really turned me on in that flic.
Well, Dan and I went to see this movie over the last weekend and I know I can vouch for Dan in saying that we both give it a thumbs up.
I've always like watching Will Smith. There are a few of his movies that aren't so great, but I really did enjoy this one.
I think for those of you with kids in the 10 + age range, you'll be happy to know there is little to no blood or swearing. There is some violence, but mostly against robots. The few vulgar words I remember were @$$hole and maybe a shit here and there. It is future based, so much of the "slag" is "created" for the time.
The plot is basic, but the animation is excellent. And ladies, you get to see Will in the shower, nearly as his mama brought him into the world! uh-huh! He plays an on the edge, "Old School" cop who doesn't like robots and he's not in so good with the "boss", but you'll get more details as you see the movie.
If you just need a night to get away and have some good, old fashioned actioin, this is definitely the movie. Good date movie too...IMO, because it's not a "chick flick" and it's not a horror or gross and bloody.

It was a great book. I have to see the movie. Sometimes the "the book was better" people drive me nuts but I'm hoping that the movie does follow the original story.

I saw it the other night and thought it was decent. I was a little confused when Sonny drew that picture and said it was Will Smith standing on the hill, then at the end of the movie it was Sonny. I dunno, it was good. I want to see the Village, that looks like a sweet movie.

I think the idea there was that this robot had been givent he ability to have inperfections like humans. Not overly profound but in a sense a way to prove Will Smilth's character right...robots are not infallible...they can make mistakes. Also, another way to interperate the error in judgement here with the robot is to show a human side, dreaming - something only living things can experience right now. Kind of interesting if you get into it deeply enough.
I just found it a fun movie, loads of action, not a lot of blood and swearing, but enough to really get into in spots. Like I said. I wouldn't have a problem bringing a young teen to this movie at all..maybe even as young as 10 pending their maturity level.

yeah, i agree with chelly. for an action movie, it is pretty family friendly. I dont have kids of my own, so i cant say what i would do with them, but i would have no problem taking my little 12 year old sister to see this, and i am very protective of her.
About the Robot drawing... Maybe the robot had to tell Will Smith it was him to get him to go there? Or maybe a hundred other things.
One thing i really enjoyed about the movie, thinking back on it, was the little hidden message that everything is created by its maker with a purpose. i dont know, might be cheesy, but i liked it.
I went and saw it at http://www.portelmsleydrivein.com/index.htm
Worthwhile. Better job of telling the story than I expected.
Sure is a pain to pull all the fuses in the Focus so that the lights don't turn on during the movie.
