I loved The Bourne Identity. Had everything I like in a movie and even got me to read the book it was loosely based on. One reason it was so good was the depth the story dealt with the Jason Bourne character. That was absent from the Supremacy. I still enjoyed it a lot, but it seemed somehow more slapped together than the first one. The action/fighting/driving sequences were shot in a really choppy, heavily edited fashion so it was more difficult to follow what was happening. It did have some interesting plot moves and provided you with some more information about Bourne and some of the other characters. While I did read Identity, I haven't read Supremacy or Ultimatum, but I would doubt that this movie has a lot to do with the book in case anyone is wondering.
From the sublime to the ridiculous. Napoleon Dynamite is only in select theaters and I can understand why. That's not to say it's bad, it's just very hard to explain what the hell it is. I mean, I saw it now, and still don't really know what the hell I saw. It's basically about a high school looser, his looser family, his looser town, and the weird way people seem to get by day by day. There were some seriously funny parts in it which probably make it worth the matinee price. I bet it would be hysterical to watch at home with a case of Steel Reserve though!
i throughly enjoyed the bourne supremacy. its not the greatest movie i have ever seen, but it was good, with great action sequences. i really enjoyed the editing of the action scenes. yeah, it was kind of hard to follow at times, especially in a few of the hand to hand scenes. but i think it made the action seem a bit more real. if you were standing there watching a real fight, not everything would be perfectly planned and layed out so you saw everything clearly. the editing seemed to bring me closer to the action, and i enjoyed that.
I thought that really ruined what could have been great action scenes in the bourne supremacy. They went with hand held cameras to make it seem more, realistic. To me it was annoying and actually took me out of the movie a few times. Watching the screen just jumping all around and lose focus just reminded me I was just watching a movie. All in all, a great movie just because Jason Bourne was bad ass.
