If you like real hardcore, not stripped down puke, something with substance, and cant stand "above ground" Top 40 kukkah like Staind, Korn and that all other rubbish, check out Boston's own 454 BIG BLOCK. Back in the day, these guys ruled. One of the best ever from the underground. But like every other good band out N.E., they broke up. Members joined other N.E. bands like The World Is My Fuse, Piebald, and a few others.
Their album "Save Me From Myself" is incredible. If you know the sound, and remember the scene then, you'll know what I'm talkin bout Willis. Fave track on that album are...
"Brand New Day" (I remember when the end of this song came at their shows, the rafters would cave in)
"Born Human"
"Cauterice"
"1245 Comm. Ave" aka Homicidewalk (Has as old school Fugazi sound to it)
.....get the DVD and see can see all the clownshoes in action. FSU is pretty much what ruined alot of the Boston underground scene. They are a "gang" of degenerate, derelict fools who assault people, usually 10 or more on 1, and they used to do things at shows like huck baseballs at people in the pit. Real classy guys.
True. But how many times can you listen to that guy whine before it becomes utterly obnoxious and repetitive? He needs Zoloft, not fans. I've heard it all before, it's rehashed, radio-friendly kukkah. REHASH. "Now that IIIIIIIII'm here, makin all this money......I'm still depressed cuz she broke up with me...yesterday....". GHEY. I'm tired of listening ball-less, millionaire, billboarders yelping about their latest break up or how they used to be addicted to smack. REHASH.
Yet people still buy it up. I can only shake my head.
The whole music scene needs a big, giant, swift kick across tha ass.
