I'll get shome shots later of the current set up. Nothing too special but I am deep into designing and fabricating for the new set-up.

What kind of fabrication are you into for this new set up ?  I love fabrication, I think every installation should be unique.

The sub will be in an IB application mounted facing into the rear seat using the trunk as the enclosure. I just bought a used SVT Stereo and HVAC bezel and will be doing some FG work, as I learn, to custom mount the HU and EQ in the stock-ish location. I will be building a somewhat simple amprack on the floor immediately at the bottom of the IB baffle.

Beyond that, not too much custom FG work going on. The ID Components will be in the stock front locations and the rear in the stock rear locations.

"all a ___ need is a lil bit

little bit uh this

little bit uh that"... sry felt the need for a rhyme

you dont need much, heres an example, but i have 5 1/4 in the door not 6.5..just a simple painted 1/2" ( i believe) MDF block cut to template

I used 1/2" MDF and mounted both the midbass and tweeter in the door with the tweeter housing being trimmed a little.
