Ok, now if we are talking about Remote Car Starters. What I have found out is that the remote starters that are out there may not work in conjuction w/ our cars. Do to the PATS System. Went to the ford dealer to find out about the one that ford sells, come to find out that the one that they sell you have to have 3 keys in order for this to work. One that is kept in the system it self and the other two of coure to program the third one. When these things first came out, alot of people had problem's w/ the starters. Some of the people that I have talked to had problem's w/ their starters going bad, not the remote starter, but the car starter it self went bad and had to be replaced. Of course like anything else w/ time the remote starters have gotten better. But IMHO, I would not go w/ one from say: pep boys, VIP or even Kraigen, but go for the one from Ford. Cost to have one installed in my focus: $350.00, but I already have the third key, so no need for me to get another one. Ya'll know that if you need info. on a car alarm or remote car starter, hit me up for the info. and I will glady get this info. for you. I love doing research, especially for my TF family and really guys, there is no need to call someone out on here like that. So remember, ya need info. on something PM or IM me. Just click on my profile and I will look up the info. for ya and get back to you. If I can not find it, I will respond back to ya. Let's all get along. Cool.

the one from ford is pretty cool...but with the aftermarket ones you can get transponders for the security sytem without getting another key...dei makes them so you can bypass the keypass system in the car

Alex,
You just gotta know the right people.... $350.00 is outrageous for a remote start. that is actually on the high end of a remote start/alarm combo.
If your looking for a stand alone remote start, PM me & I"ll take GREAT care of you my man..... I've done 2 foci already... 1 5spd, 1 auto-tragic....... its a cake walk.
