Well I guess it is time for a little up date.  I have been working on the install in the trunk of the car for a bit this week, and I have almost finnished the system.  I have built and painted the fiberglass box and installed 2 of the four 12" Infinity Kappa Perfects (the other 2 will be here on the 15th), with the 2 Audiobahn A8000T amps and Audiobahn Flame Series 6 farad power cap.  Here is a shot of how it looks now.....

And I also have the new Kenwood 7" LCD/DVD headunit with touchscreen controls, and to go with it there is now a Kenwood Music Keg under the passenger seat.  Here is what the headunit looks like....

I got a question, how do you let the bass in your cabin? There's times when the rear seat has to go up and the bass will mostly be stuck in the trunk.

With all the Dynamat I added in the trunk, I have no problems with sound not reaching the inside of the passenger compartment, it really travels into the front well with the seats up.  In fact I never have the seats down.

Sound travels better through solids....basic physics....especially lower frequencies..

The only difference I notice with the seats up versus seats down is resonation. The volume is the same but the sub resonates better when the back seats are up. When the seats are down, the sounds diffuse to much for my tastes and a good deal of the frequencies wash out.

I agree with you 110% on that one Joe, the sound is so much better with the seats up. IMO
