I got an OEM Single CD player off of EbAY for 35 bucks. The previous owner stated that it was new et. When i insert a cd it spins, makes a scratching noise, then stops and goes back to radiomode with the display showing ERR  E12. The previous owner states that I am using burned cd's and that it is probably something with my media. I have attempted different types of cd's to no avail. ANy help out here?:(

Thanks Hecgar87

Sounds odd to me, if mine can't read it it just says CD ERROR, not Err 12 or whatever.  I would think there is something else wrong there.

I agree. It sounds like the guy sold you a pill of shit. Some people are so gay! I think the codes for the CD player are in the owners manual. Check it out.

I've tried non burned cd's and the seller even suggested buying a cd cleaner which i did.  Same result.  Contacted seller and seller asked for picture of error codes whic i did and the seller now says that its the cd's. Like i said before i have tried nonburned, new, all tupes of cid's including  my wifes "WOrld Flutes" cd's.  Hey the cd works in my daughters portable cd player and has a soothing effect!!!
