I tried to tap into the wire harness in the driver side of the trunk by taking the speaker wires (Pin 7 for positive speaker signal & Pin 8 for negative speaker signal) and wiring them directly to amp... I wired the blue "Remote Turn On" to Pin 1 which says "Subwoofer Amplifier - Enable" on the diagram I downloaded...

My amp didn't turn on so I hard wired the "Remote Turn On" directly to the battery connection on amp to trouble shoot it... I found out that I'm not getting anything from the harness wires... There's no fault in connections and I triple check the connection of the harness on the back of the Head Unit... There's the main harness and then the secondary harness which is only has 4 wires on it (I believe is leading to the trunk harness, the same one I wired straight to the amp)...

Can someone help me out?? Why isn't that harness working in the trunk?? Do I have to wire the amp straight to the wires coming out of the main harness in the back of the head unit?? If so, what wires are the wires I need??

I have a Pac RCA Line Output convertor in which I used to wire into the harness...

All I need to know is where to connect the blue (Remote Turn-On) wire... That's it... Everything else I have rigged well enough to where it works and still looks good...

do you have an aftermarket headunit or a factory headunit?  remote turn on is an ignition wire...try using your ignition wire.

problem is that I've never worked with ignition wires so I don't know anything about it... Where and which one..??

Refer to post: " http://teamfocus.mywowbb.com/forum44/4422.html " so we dont have to double post...

I connected it to the yellow wire instead since it was an accessory wire... Seems to work fine... This will be my installation of an amp into a factory radio... What a pain in the ass... Thanks for the help...
