Ok so some of you might remember I had a similar problem if not the same one before. This morning I was on my way to work.. everything was fine. Then I'm sittin at a light, and I changed songs on the CD player... well one of them has no intro and my subs are like popping... like as if there were bass, but there isnt.. I even turned the radio all the way down and they are still lettin off bass. Maybe it isn't something to worry about but, I thought I would post and see if this has ever happened to anyone else before or if you might know of someway to fix it.  Maybe the ground is lose?? I dont know, I have to check it out tonight when I clean my car.. thanks in advance for any suggestions. I just dont know if there is something wrong or if its just letting off or something...

Could be that one of the wires, maybe your remote turn on, has chaffed is making contact with metal. I have heard things like that in other peoples cars, but it usually only does it when you turn the stereo on and off. Its known as "turn on bump", and actually its not a good thing for subs if they are in a ported box.

I think your wires need to be checked for contact to metal.

Ok thanks Jonny. When I had my other subs, they used to kinda do a single POP when I shut the radio off, these ones dont do it. The thing is that it did this before too, the day of the tint g2g and then it stopped. That's why I didnt think I would have to worry to much.. but now im not so sure...

I've had my amp for 3 or so years now...nary a problem.  I don't have a cap either.  It's always good to check terminals and wires for any places that could be contacting metal where you don't want it to be.  It could be someplace unfriendly even, like under the carpet or something, who knows.  I don't have any popping, just thumping ;)  If you have wires loomed together, make sure that they are all still individually protected, you can get a chafe inside a loom, and unless you take the loom off never know that there is a problem.  Safest bet to protect stuff is to draw a wiring diagram of how your stuff is connected and then start thinking about if that makes sense or not.  If you still can't find a problem, disconnect and redo everything following that diagram.  Wiring doesn't have to be a mystery but it takes time to find a problem sometimes.

Are you using your factory headunit?    ALso a cap is nothing more than a band aid it doesnt really do much as far as anything is concerned....I would just look at getting rid of that ground loop you have that causes the pop ..also if your still using your factory headunit when that little detachable face come loose is makes your subs go nuts I still have yet to figure out why

No this problem has since been solved. I dont really recall how or why but there is no more popping or anything. Everything is running smooth as it should. As for the factory head unit, I did change it out to begin with when I installed the subs. Thanks for your help though!! :)
