The car was on the dyno today. The results follow.
The most recent combination:
HI-FLO-80 w/80mm 02-04 Mustang GT MAF
Focus Central 65mm TB
Cosworth Racing Intake Manifold
30lb/hr Injectors
Stage 1 Street Port Head, Stock Valves, Supertech Single Springs and Ti Retainers
Stage 2 Marcy Motorsport Cams (Direct equivalants to Crans Stage 2s)
Supertech 11.6:1 Flat Top Pistons with Valve Recesses
Carillo H-Beam Rods (Unfortunately Eagle is showing the Duratec no love as yet)
Ranger Crankshaft, Deburred, Epoxy Painted, Balanced.
Cosworth Flywheel with Clutchmasters Stage 4 Clutch (Test unit with Zetec Pressure Plate)
1.75" Race Header w/3" Flex and 3" Exhaust System
SCT XCalibrator used for tuning purposes.
The car is running on a preliminary tune and still has a few areas in the air/fuel curve to be worked out. It drives quite well, getting 28mpg average. The rotating assembly is 17lbs lighter than stock, but the car does not suffer from the lack of inertia associated with Zetecs and light flywheels.
Max Power = 209.78 @ 7400rpm
Max Torque = 159.70 @ 4300rpm
All NA 4 bangers suffer from the low torque problem. It is easy to make more hp but very difficult to get more torque. Look at the Honda S2000, something like 200whp but only 135tq. Most NA cars dyno sheets will look like that, unless they are FI.
