Tell the peopel where you bough tit from it sticks or go dirrectly to the manufacturer. I'm guessing its Focus Central and thay seem to be good about getting the TB's to work or repalce it. Is FC still in business? I thought I heard one or 2 of the focus companies went under???

FC is no more, so you won't get much tech support that route.  All the FC throttle bodies on the market are stuff that vendors bought out from inventory.

that's right, hence why it's only available in black nowadays...

i put in an e-mail to http://www.newedgeperformance.com as they have no info on their site about a return policy or anything.  we'll see how it goes, so far no responce.  i get impatient so i'll give them a couple more days and then i'm calling my credit card company.

note of experience: i always put stuff on my credit cards rather than paying by debit or anything, even on paypal cause they will fight and get your money back on stuff when the company would otherwise ignore you.  it's happend to me before were i had an ebay deal that went sour and paypal (after taking 30 days to think about it) would only refund me what was in the guy's account and wouldn't chase him down any more than that.  i called the credit card company that i'd put it on, and all my money was refunded the next business day.

You gonna ship the part back or keep the part and get refunded without talking the company?  newedge will file a claim for non-payment and then it will show up on your credit report.

no no, the payment has been sent.  but if i don't get a responce from them, then i'll call the credit card company and file a claim with them that i recieved a defective item.  last time i did that my credit card company called the people up and put us in a three way call and resolved it right there.  credit cards tend to have more influence on on a company than little ol' easy-to-ignore me.

Before you try returning it, you might one to try one thing.  Try loosing up a little the hose clamps that hold the intake to the TB.  While its aluminum, it still might distort enough to cause the blade to stick some.  Its worth a shot.

hmmm, that's interesting but, well, i don't think that's it, maily cause when the engine wasn't running the trottle would slam shut as i wiggle the lever back and fourth with my hand.  it only happened when air was running through it.

and i don't think the heat of running the engine was an issue cause it would behave the same if i just started it up, or if i'd been driving for a while.  and then i'd pull over and check it and the whole assembly (CAI pipe and TB) was still cool to the touch.
