you can get the powertrain for about 2200 thru the scrap yard. Last price I heard on Jim's conversion kit was about 2500. When I see Caleb this week, I'll ask him about it.

Sorry it took me so long to post this up.  This is where I buy my gauges, good prices/fast shipping.

http://www.intheweedz.com/coolproducts/autometer/boost/gauge/7160/ships/fast/zrn2023/33679.php4

Also I saw that you have a cat listed, is it a universal high flow cat?  Cause ya know you cannot use a stock cat with Tom's kit.

Also You should get a lower temp thermostat, there cheap ($20) and have Tom program for it when he burns your chip.

I didn't know that you were doing a complete swap, do you have a tranny yet?

Terry Haines is the best, he designed the MTX-75, and can set you your tranny any way you want.  If you have the cash to spare look at a LSD.  I have Terry's phone number if you want it, I talked to him about a tranny for my car.

Terry Haines-(616) 874-1148

Next summer I'm planning on getting a tranny from him, one with a Quaife LSD and turbo final drive set.  If you get it from him let me know how he was, I've only heard good things about him.

since you're here. what do you think about water injection. Get the computer controled aquamist or the pressure controlled systems?

Your talking about the water sprayers for the intercooler right?

I know that it's hot as all hell in Texas and would help.  If you plan on taking it to the track most won't let you use water srayers.  It helps but the power gain is not great.

I think that money spent on a better fan for the radiator, like a Flex-a-light FAL fan, would help keep the engine temps down.

dude, this was the all time luck shot. Someone bought this in SA and left it at roadway for two weeks. it was due to go off to auction TODAY AT 9AM!!!! I got there at 8, paid them the storage fees of 205.50, and now I own a brand new zetec.:D

check this out:

you know what that is? outputs for a fucking oil cooler!!!!  these SUV zetecs are a trip! only problem I found so far is that the fuel rail is backwards. set up for RWD.:? I guess I'll get a focus one off ebay and sell this one. also gonna sell the clutch and pressure plate. Im using a spec stage 2 so I dont need the stock one. If you know anyone who needs a clutch, point them my way.

new fuel rail, bus bar, injectors, and harness should be here today. I have the other rail all ready to hit the powdercoaters. Once I verifyI can use the escape blank in the focus set up( I dont see why not, but the escape rail is alot nicer looking) then it will be off to the coaters. Currently in talks with Caleb to score some other much needed parts.

Managed to find a main wiring harness, shifter, and gauge pod thru the FJ classifieds. got some good deals too. The wiring harness guy is making me mad because he told me to make him an offer so I offered 125 shipped. (thats like half price what a junkyard will sell for) he seemed so excited by the offer I bet I could have gotten it for 50 bucks.;ohno

oh well, parts should start rolling in next week.

finally got all my parts in. the USPS sucks! shifter assembly was shipped on 11/29, did not get here until 12/13!!!

gotta say, damn near everything on the zetec is nicer. The shifter is waaaaaay nicer than the IB5 piece of monkey shit.

update is the engine is built and waiting on a built trans from haines motorsports. I also need the axles and ECU. I think thats it. There are a few misc. turbo parts I need like the recirc valve and some fittings. Its almost there. Unfortunately, I got the axe last week so the project is on hold pending a new source of income.

nice to hear from you again! :)
