Diag says Vehicle's Speed Idle speed control aux input.
Is this the TPS???
I recently installed a 65mm TB and a couple days before the light came on the spring holding the butterfly loosened up and the idle was at about 5K. I have since fixed the spring and now a couple days later the CEL came on...
Any Ideas? Also would the extended drivetrain warranty cover this. I know the motor is covered and it is part of the motor but not sure.
P1506 - Idle Air Control (IAC) Overspeed Error This DTC is set when the PCM detects engine idle speed that is greater than the desired rpm. IAC circuit short to GND
Damaged IAC valve
IAC valve stuck open
Vacuum leaks
Failed EVAP system
Damaged PCM
Disconnect IAC valve and look for little or no change in engine rpm as an indication of a stuck or damaged valve.
its probablly a vacuum leak related to the throttle body.
Not that it matters, but this code has been on my car - Dan bought me an FC TB for Christmas (car parts vs. jewelery) lol
Yep, CEL still off. Hoping it's fixed. I think it's because that damned spring let loose the other day and threw the whole thing off. I was running @ 5 & 6k rpms and had to downshift to keep the rpms at a normal level till it got home. Sucked

Did you use sealant on the gasket when you put the new TB on?
When I installed mine I didn't use any sealant on the gasket and I got a CEL. I took it back off and put some sealant on there and the CEL went away. I can't remember what the code was, but if it comes back (hell, even if it doesn't) it might be something to think about.
hey dan, thats the same code ihad back in my wet TPS days, and its the IACV. i think mines damages, sometimes it likes to idle high and rough, sometimes fine. most of the rough idling and wierd activity is inbetween shifts, unfortunately
