ok, so i go to the dealer where i bought my car (50 mins away) since the one 5 mins away WONT service it :X last week for the TSB 04-08-1 - Dual mass flywheel, clutch noise. she said yes, i will take care of it, and when i picked my car up on friday the slip had a different TSB # (04-12-2). when i picked up the car it was fine, no rattle and i was happy, but when i started my car when i went out later that night, the rattle was back, and it also seems like the clutch already has 9000 miles on it, when it only had about 60, even though they claimed to have replaced it with the problem::sigh:: anyone else had issues with this? thanks for the input...

Yes, I have the throwout bearing chatter. Goes away when the clutch is engaged. I showed it to a service tech at my local SVT dealership a long time ago. I took him for a ride, he hoeard it and documented it, but said it was "normal". I was like ok buddy, whatever. They just dont want to listen to the customer, and they think whenever I go in there with problems, that I am hearing and/or feeling things, and just seeing stuff on message boards and bringing it to them, or making it up. They are clownshoes, and here I am, still with a rattling/clunking car (and embarassing  squeaky brakes) with only 14K miles.

And people wonder why psycho's show up to places and spray the joint with bullets.

well, after driving it again today, the noise is still gone, and i noticed my shifts are much crisper than they were before. i think when they "inspected it" someone knew what they were looking for, tweaked the flywheel - clutch measurement and tightened my shift cables. im happy now, complaining is done. :dude:

Unfortunately, I take my car to Portsmouth Ford. It's the local SVT dealer. Sometimes I have a real hard time getting the work done on my car. They give me grief, and overall, usually just dont want to listen to me point things out that need to be addressed. Like I mentioned before, I took my car like a year ago, told them my throwout bearing was clunking, even took a Tech. out for a ride in it, he heard the noise and acknowledged it, then told me "it is normal for the tranny to do that, gear chatter". I was like oooooooook buddy, whatever. So here we are, the car still clunking, and a TSB has been released for the very problems I showed to my local dealership like a year ago. People just dont want to listen, they dont want to work, and they dont want you to be a satisfied repeat patron.

funny you should say you go to Portsmouth Ford, cause they had a couple SVTs and i told my dad when i was lookin for em i was goin there and he didnt even hesitate to say "no, dont!" so i ended up going to 128 ford in mass, LEFT, cause the salesman were worse than vultures...soo i went up to hillsboro ford, they treated me good for sales, but when i had the YRF0 flash done, they gave me a hard time and i had to fax them the TSB printout from online, and they call me back after 3 days of having my car and say "oh yeah, thats it, youre all set now".  they didnt have a problem fixing this TSB, however, did it under a TSB i have not seen/read up on, even after giving them the 04-08-1 TSB relating to all of my problems, so i took it back, and the service manager and the service rep both told me there was nothing that can be done and its normal.  i also post on FocusFanatics, and a guy from mass told me to take it to drum hill (i think it was)...said he has had the best of luck, and they have fixed the flywheel chatter, brakes, reflash, everything with no problems

Hmmm, I went through some of the same problems when I needed the PCM reflashes. Ports. Ford at one point told me the TSB's were "released alphabetically" to dealers around the country. I laughed like hell, and called Autofair Ford in Manch-Angeles. They laughed like hell too when I told 'em what Ports. Ford said. They said come on down, and even though I had to drive there from Hampton, I got treated the best I ever have a dealer, and they did the reflash and I was on my way.

I will be trying to sell my car again maybe in the next few months. I hope to have another 4X4 by the Fall. So if you know anyone looking for an SVTf, mine is Sonic Blue, all options, its #755, and it only has 14K miles on it. Never raced.

LMAO...Autofair lost me forever. i brought them the car 2 weeks after i bought it after i did research on the surging and stuff related to the flash, and the guy asked me why i was taking my car there bc i had jus bought it elsewhere....so i says simply because youre closer and ive heard good things about your serrvice and customer satisfaction. but thats not an issue anymore, but yeah, i read something about the FS Flywheel, says it produces more "natural gear chatter" so i dont think im going that route to solve my probs anymore...ill keep a look out for anyone who may be interested tho
