SO I WENT TO THIS GAS STATION WITH A FRIEND OF MINE AND THIS LADY ASKS ME TO GIVE HER A JUMP START SO I WAS NICE AND DID
BUT WHEN I GO TO START MY CAR AFTER HELPIN HER MY ENGINE MAKES THIS HORRIBLE SOUND, THEN MY ENGINE STARTS TO SMOKE SO I TAKE IT TO GALPIN FORD TO TAKE A LOOK AT
AND THEY SAY THAT I HAVE LOW PRESSURE IN ONE OF MY CYLINDERS AND THAT THE ONLY WAY TO FIX IT IS TO GET A WHOLE NEW ENGINE
.........FUUUUUUUUUUUUCK
ANYONE KNOW OF ANYTHING I CAN DO CUS I DONT HAVE $6200 TO GET A NEW ENGINE
I can't see how jumpstartign a car can cause the low cylinder pressure.
It sounds as if you had your car off when you jump started the other car??? correct??
It might just be a coincidence.
I see you have an LX. You shouldn't pay over $500 for an engine from a junk yard. After all the LX has a SPI (SOHC) motor.
Low cylinder pressue could also be caused by few things. Bad valve, bad head gasket, and a few other things. See if there is coolant in the oil and oil in the coolant.
Kinda sounds like the dealership dosen't want to bother seeing whats actually wrong with your motor and wants the easy way out. Ask them what exactly is wrong with your motor that requires a replacement.

Exactly! They're either too busy or too lazy to look at it.
Go somewhere else.
