I was travelling along a motorway ,around 70mph when my car juddered then began to lose power ! I noticed the glow plug indicator light was flashing after stopping the car it cut out ! Not knowing the problem , re started the car to which glow plug light extinguished and car seemed to run normal and has since ! anyone know what the fault could of been and is it serious !? the car has only done 34,000 mls and was serviced end of sep 07
I'm not sure what you mean by "glow plug." Could you elaborate?
If it just stopped running for no apparent reason, a number of things could be possible, e.g., fuel filter, electrical connection, dirt in the injectors, fuel pump, overheating, etc. It could also be faulty plug wires. I had a Mustang once that would stop running whenever it rained. Moisture was working its way through the insulation on the plug wires. New wires cured it instantly.
