We just say Hallo or Willkommen. Is it correct that Ford USA didn't sell Focus with Diesel engine? I cannot believe...in Germany they sell more Diesels than other ones.

Do you think? I think that you have more good cars over there, because you can buy all european models and we cannot buy th US models. They don't sell them herr because the need too much gasoline. It's arround 1.40$/liter:X

Hi,

all right. What kind of Euro bumper are you looking for? Built from 98-2001 or 2001-2004?

I want the one you have on your car.

you'd be out of your mind to trade. US bumper is so very ugly. But if you can get me a price for one I would appreciate it. :)

Welcome to the TF family wolli!

We all envy the models you can purchase in the UK for many reasons.  Fuel economy being my main envy.  I do wish they would produce a quality deisel engine focus, but they don't here.  Many may disagree with me, but fuel here is pennies compared to Europe in general.

I actually saw my first focus in 1999 (I was in the UK for the millenium) and that is where I fell in love with it.

USA safety standards are higher than in Europe, that is one of the main reasons why we don't get the same types of econo vehicles you do.  We have much larger vehicles on our roads/highways than you do and they don't put any govoners on our large trucks.  I know when I was in the UK, the larger "lorries" are limited on how fast they can go.  We have much more land to cover and many trucking companies push drivers to complete their trips in a certain amount of time....thus pushing some truckers to drive too fast.

Thank you for your offer of parts etc.  there may be many people intersted...

I hope you stay and chat and post more pics!  Thanks for coming!

Hi,

what you say is right. I work for a company who made car parts for Smart,Mercedes,VW,Mitsubishi and BMW. In the next 2 years smart will sell cars in the US, most of our parts are for smart. We must change the complete quatily management to the US standart, cos they're muth higher than the european standarts. Speed limit for trucks on german highways is 55 mph, all trucks can go faster but they are limited by electronic modules. The best on german highways is there is no speed limit for cars. You must drive arround 90 mph, that is the minimum. You can drive as fast as you can, thats great. Each other country in europe has limits on their highways.

With the parts is no problem, I don't wanna make money, you must pay what I pay for the parts.

Best regards

Wolli
