Why not another 2ltr Turbo rally bred car as a competitior??

Yes, unfortunately the majority rules and that majority loves their high priced, gas (petrol) hogging, road menacing, SUVs. 

Alas, Americans still get fuel inexpensively, in comparison, so they still have to have their great big cars that suck the gas by the second right out the tailpipe.
