I'm pretty new both to this site and the Foci world in general;)

Someone please adopt me and show me the way

Currently over in S. Korea with the US Army assigned as an asset manager overseeing $52 Billion in assets. I miss my car! I also have an 04' F-150 Lariat with every option available that I have only put 400 miles on, talk about depressing. I'm into alot of stuff, bikes (road & mountain), skateboarding, gothik and alternative culture. The SVTF is my second Focus so I've been into the scene for a bit. Look forward to talking with you.

Welcome to TF. Glad you're here. :wave There's a wealth of info here. You might want to start by looking at some of the current threads. Taking a look at members might also give you a feel for the place. We're a friendly bunch of Foci enthusiasts. If you'd like to know something specific, try using the search function at the top of the page. And whatever you do, don't be afraid to ask questions. The only dumb question is the one that goes unasked.

OH. And don't be intimidated by Team Focus New England, (TFNE). They're really harmless. :gofast

It was late last night, & I didn't get to read your whole post. It's great to have another biker here. Konaboy is a biker too. I'm a former USCF Cat 2 roadie. I've never owned or ridden a mt bike, & have really no interest in that. I'm a real retro-grouch, purist roadie. I'm not racing any more, and after checking out your pic., I appear to be several years older than you :D. But I still ride quite a bit. I commute to work via bike. It's 14 mi. one way. I'm also active in a couple of clubs & am in the planning stages of planning a trip from SanFrancisco to Maine this summer.

Mr. Versatile, I'm not quite as young as that picture would have you believe. 31 checking in here so I'm getting up there. I've always been in love with bikes and aroung 95' got into it seriously and started off with a nice entry level mountain bike as well as volunteering at my LBS so I could learn the ropes of mechanics. Mountain biking naturally led me to the road as that is where you not only develop physically but you also learn the finer things like spinning and proper cadence. I've been off and on the bikes for the past 4 seasons due to injury and government sponsored vacations around the world but am in the perfect location now to get back into it. I'm in Korea and decided to go with a more versatile all mountain rig not knowing what conditions would be here but damn do I miss my road bikes. As you said, always great to run into another gearhead!

Glad to have an active soldier in our midst - I think we have a few here.

Ask questions and we'll give you an answer somehow :o)

You're about my age - we have quite a range and diverse bunch here.  I'm 34. The admin of the site is in his 40's and Mr. V - well, I'll leave that up to him. lol! :driv

Hope to have you home soon so you can play with your vehicles!
