You all are going to have to keep us updated on times and places you'll be racing!  we have a forum dedicated to focus racing.

Downloading pics is very easy, but I highly suggest starting your collection you'd like to use online by creating a photobucket account.

Just go to http://www.photobucket.com and the instructions are very face front.

Great to have you on board and hope to see you around!!!

Speed Safely!:driv

Hey Andi, welcome to the site!

the S2 special edition was a nice little package, I'm sure you'll love it once it's yours. Don't worry about the stick thing, it just takes practice but once you get the hang of it it'll become second nature. I'm almost there myself, but don't have a manual to practice on so I never work on it! Doh.

Hey everyone!

I'm a brand new focus owner! I just bought a 2001 Ford Focus ZX3 hatchback today, and she is pretty sweet lookin'! I am from the midwest, and I frequently go to Kansas City, Independance, and Blue Springs Missouri to hang out! My ex ride was a 1994 Ford Taurus, so I figured it was time to upgrade to something alot nicer, and something better.

The thing that brought me to this site was I was doing a google search, and I just happened up here! I look forward to meeting alot of the focus owners here in the near future, and whenever I can I will get some pictures up here of my baby.

Current mods include :
Stereo system, tint, short throw shifter, silver trim, silver paint job, black painted brakes, clear corner lights, and a body kit. I will be going soon with pink LED's, and maybe, if I can find them, pink projector headlights.

Hi and I think I've said hello in another thread.

I do have one concern about your comment about your lights and changing them from clear to a color.  YOu may really want to check your state's Motor Vehicle laws regarding what colors are legal to be on your vehicle because you can get a lot of fines in many states w/ colored lights.

For example, you cannot have Blue or Red lights on your vehicles here in New Hampshire (red only in the tails) as these are emergency vehicle colors only.
Those washer nozzle lights are also illeagal and you can fail inspection as well as get pulled over and fined.
There are laws about how dark your tint can be and what windows it can be put on.
So again, I'm happy to welcome you to the fold of Team Focus, but I highly recommend you checking into your State's Laws.

Happy driving!:driv

Hey, I appreciate your concern! I have already checked with the laws, and in the city I live in anyways, the cops don't care, aslong as it doesnt flash. For the longest time in my Taurus I had a red streetglow LED sitting in the back between my 6x9's, and never got any fuss about it. Heck, we even have an s-10 with all red streetglow, red projector lights, and red tinted lights, with 5% tint. They don't seem to mind in this town, but yes, in the city I will have to be careful.

I think instead of going with pink, I will just see about getting color changing under body LED's, and then may wait in the projectors.

I was supposed to get my ride home yesterday, but the brakes were acting horrible, so we took it back. I might as well upload the sellers picture of her though! Thanks so much, and I will definitly be posting here often. :D

Just a note, when you go into other states just remember these things typically are illegal.

You can be fined by other states based on their laws.  It can be fought in court, but if you're displaying lights or other items which are illeagal, police do have the right to fine you.
Another note, if you have an outstanding fine in one state that can cause a warrant, you have a warrent in all states - Just as if you are suspended in one state, you are suspended in all states.  They are all on a central computer system now and you can be arrested if pulled over under suspension.

Just food for thought :)

Hello Everyone!  I've been searching for a Focus site for a while that I think I might fit into.  I love my car & plan to keep it for a while!  It just fits my personality.  Anyway, I come from a long line of anti-Ford family & friends so, I really wanted to find people I could relate to.  I get tired of hearing the Ford jokes.  Well, thanks for giving me a place to feel at home! :wave
