I just traded my 03 CD Silver ZTS in for an 05 CD Silver ZX4 ST. I really like the sedan and was dissapointed when I bought my 03 that there were no SVT sedans. So I got the top of the line sedan, the ZTS.
When Ford offered employee pricing, I went in search of an ST. After the employee discount and rebate, I got one for a little more than 15K.
Wow, what a difference in power. The torque comes on quick.
I have read other posts questioning the SVT suspension on the ST. It uses the SVT struts and shocks but not the springs. My first mod will be lowering springs.

The ST is a nice little package, I personally favor the hatch style, but it's nice of Ford to extend the olive branch to the sporty sedan market!
Lowering springs is always nice on a Focus, and since you've already got the "performance" dampers I think just springs is under $100?
The Duratec powerplant is a nice addition in 2005 too (for all models). My engine is basically the same as yours, only with the Green PZEV stuff from 2003. It's a lotta fun and the torque is well-proportioned for the little Focus!
Isn't the Duratec FUN! I have the 2003 PZEV 2.3 and love it!
I'd suggest the SVT suspension change. It's fairly inexpensive and not too hard to do. Eventually, someday, when I win Powerball I'll be adding that to mine.
Post often!

Welcome, and please post some pics of your ST. I am having a hard time deciding whether to get an SVT, a newer ZTS or a ST. Maybe your pics can help make up my mind!
