Hey everyone :wave I'm new to the Focus world, from Hudson New Hampshire & Just got my new to me 2001 SE the other day and so far I'm quite happy with it. I was a huge Dodge neon guy but needed a change so I went to the Ford Focus. I'm gonna start customizing it soon so I'll be posting quite a few questions sense I know nothing about the Focus, so be kind ;) lol.

Welcome! We were all newbies once, don't worry if you know anything or not. Glad to see you got into a Focus, I'm sure you'll get hooked on it too, it has a funny way of doing that to people!

You'll see me bombing around in this:

This is actually my 2k2 which died a sad death a year ago January, but my 2k3 looks nearly exactly the same.  Larger Amsoil Decals on the rear and I gave up on the magnabra.

Sweet I was a member of a few Neon clubs when I was building those cars. Seams to make owning cars alot more fun when there is a group that you can hang with that also love them.

Here is a quick crap pic that I just snapped so ya could see what I'm burnin up the streets in. Cant wait to start moding it!!

:::This is me, another crap pic lol:::

Hey that's not nice! The SPI's damn reliable... only Focus I know of with over 200k is an SPI (not sure how many others have gotten that high yet!). And though it starts slowest, if you slap a turbo or something on there it can be speedy.

No worries about being a SPI owner...you may notice a difference in power if you drive a Zetec 2.0 though.  Even one of the newer Duratecs.

But, hey - that's what modding your car is all about...bringing up the power!

We do have a resident guru or sorts who has modded his spi quite well.

Poke around in the SPI forum - I'm sure you'll find a lot of info.

See you around!
