Hello, just got a CD silver 2002 SVT. I'm new to the focus but far from a ford rookie. I needed a car that was better for running around town than my 2002 4.6L explorer and a car more civilized than my 393W powered 1982 mustang GT.
This car fit the bill. So far I am very impressed by the handling and the brakes. The car is much more comfortable than my fiancee's 93 saturn SC2 that we traded in for the SVT-I can actually get in and out of the Focus and I don't have to have my head cocked to one side or the other to drive it. I'll start adding a bolt-on or two once I start getting bored with it although I might get the diablo or an SCT Xcal to get rid of the stumble in first gear (seems that it's the factory tune that causes it). With the handling and braking being fairly impressive, I might just add a power-adder, a better clutch and a limited slip and call it a day-it won't be for a while yet though.

I don't think you can get a ECU chip for the SVT because there is no place to plug it into. You can however get a reflash that should correct the stumble in first. Oh, welcome to the site!

As stated, I recommend going back to the dealer and have them check to see if the re-flashes for the SVT have been performed...if not, and heck, even if they have, I recommend having it done again.
We have quite a few active SVT owners in here - poke around, ask questions and of course, post pics of your new purchase!
