Any of you folks ever try one of these or know someone who has?  I ordered one and should have it before the end of the week.

These things have been around since the early 90’s and supposedly keep getting more and more advanced.  This model was introduced last year and seems pretty cool.  They’ve now figured out a way to detect engine RPM thru the cigarette lighter outlet so they’ve been able to incorporate a shift light.  Keep in mind that I would never test this thing on the street since making a ¼ mile run would certainly cause me to go over the posted speed limit (wink, wink).

I've heard good things about them.  I have a friend with a Honda and he has the older model and loves it..he lends it out to people who come to his shop to have mods done..I'd like to get one as well.

Wow – this thing is cool.  I found an out of the way road, waited till nobody was around, and gave it a whirl.

0-60 was 8.85 sec

¼ mile was 16.79 sec @ 81.6

HP – 113 @ 4715rpm

Torque – 133 @ 4361

Someday I’ll test it in the Viper but that’ll be a while.  That car still scares me.  Besides, ¼ mile in that car will exceed 120mph.  No deserted roads nearby me that can support that kind of speed.

LOL! I started reading your post & it wasn't until I got to the end that I realized that you weren't talking about the Viper. I was about to write & suggest that you give #%^ thing back.  ;biglaugh

Yeah - I guess I did forget to clarify.  If those were the Viper's numbers I'd surely have to take back the Gtech or take back the car.

It seems to do so.  When the system is idle and not measuring a "run", the screen displays running "G's" with a little arrow that points to the direction that the "G's" are being applied.
