Well when i realized i needed a new coil pack, i just said to myself "why not go aftermarket right now?" so i picked up a Screamin Demon coil from Performance Distributors for $59.95 and some Magnecor wires from UltraRev.com for $58.48 for a total of $118.43 w/o S&H. I must say i am very satisfied w/ the results of the combination. even though i have an spi and the coil is for a zetec it works very well on my engine. the wires work with the coil although i needed to use some plastic zip cable tie things to keep the boots on the coil. I was impressed that my gas milage averaged about 29 mpg rather than the usual 25 mpg i was getting before. power was not increased, i didnt expect a boost anyway but my car felt smoother than before. there were some rough spots i needed to smooth out but it was just a loose connection on my part. The coil gets my seal of approval so far. Now on to the wires. the magnecores dont only look better than oem, they are better. i'd say if you want good aftermarket wires go with magnecores even on a stock coil even if you dont plan on modding your engine, even if youre driving a daily driver. i think they are that good. Made of high quality silicone, more flexible than stock wires and as a bonus they dress up your engine compartment.

Overall i am quite satisfied with these products and the vendors. I couldnt use the live wires on my car cuz of the spi, but i'd bet the magnecores are still better. i wish i could compare this screamin demon to a MSD or similar coil but i like the SD coil alot. I recommend it for all of you searching for an aftermarket coil pack.

no problem, i enjoy writing reviews to voice my opinions on products and let people know whats good and bad. cuz if this was not a good product i wouldnt want my buddies to buy it. o yeah i fergot to mention that the coil and wires held up strong on my 3000 mile round trip journey to New Jersey and back
